A new memory card was announced the Eye-Fi Mobile X2 form Eye-Fi, the company that makes memory cards for your digital camera featuring the ability to wireless connect to the Internet.

The Eye-Fi Mobile X2 is a n 8GB wireless memory card that adds something. With Direct Mode, the Eye-Fi card can send JPEG photos & videos directly from your camera to your iPhone, iPad or Android device even when there’s no wireless network available.

This launching would coincide with Direct Mode’s availability as a free firmware upgrade to all of Eye-Fi’s current X2 card users. Direct Mode will be available as a free firmware upgrade towards the end of April.
